Museum is situated in to the Strakonic castle founded by the noble family of Bavor in the beginning of the 13th century. The Johannites, recent the Maltese Knights Order helped with the castle development singnificantly. Museum offers a view to the region history. Among the most interesting expositions belong bagpipes and motorcycles of czech company Česká Zbrojovka. You can visit caste tower Rumpál, Capitular Hall, Cloister and Wattermill in Hoslovice near Strakonice, too.
