The Ratha-Yatra, or chariot festival, has thousand-year roots in the Indian city of Puri.

The procession with the Indian allegorical car through the streets of the Old Town and the subsequent colorful cultural program on Náměstí Republiky is starting to become a popular tradition in Prague. Don't miss this joyful event! Move beyond the everyday with a festival full of colour, music, good mood and greatness.

The parade route will lead through the historic center - through Celetná Street to Old Town Square, then through Ovocný trh and Na Příkopě Street to Wenceslas Square, and then back to Republic Square. In the afternoon, the festival will return to Náměstí Republiky to continue with a cultural program full of Indian music, mantras, Bharatanatyam dance and theater from 3 p.m.

This year's performance will also be enriched by the world-renowned business leader, philanthropist and Grammy-nominated artist Chandrika Tandon. The festival town will be open throughout Sunday afternoon. It comes to life with stalls selling Indian fashion and gift items, salty and sweet delicacies or products from the ecological farm Kršnův Dvůr. As always, entry to the festival and the vegetarian menu are free!
