The Kristek House in Brno is a unique artwork. Sculptor, painter and performer Lubo Kristek has transformed his house into a monumental assemblage. Kristek has returned to his hometown of Brno after decades of wandering around the world. His assemblages, left for example in Italy, Germany or Spain, often reflect sensitive social issues (he has created from the material cast out by the sea, from traps, industrial waste or from cell phones). The artist has breathed into the assemblage Kristek House the themes of privacy, relation to nature and his own understanding of the Sisyphus destiny.

Po desítkách let toulek světem, kdy jeho asambláže zanechané např. v Itálii, Německu či ve Španělsku, často reflektovaly ožehavá společenská témata (tvořil z materiálu vyplaveného mořem, z pastí, průmyslového odpadu či z mobilních telefonů), se vrátil do svého rodného Brna a do asambláže - Kristkova domu vdechnul tematiku soukromí, vztahu k přírodě a vlastní pojetí Sisyfovského údělu.
