Zlin Design Week is a week-long design festival where everyone can find inspiration. Through the festival, we create a platform for young designers and professionals to meet, present, express, share, and make unexpected connections. We support young talents and bring fresh wind to the design field. Like last year, this year's festival will be in the spirit of universal design, which aims to provide user-friendly and quality products and services to the broadest possible group of people, creating an open and inclusive environment. As part of the programme, you can look forward to the ZDW Conference with the subtitle Design and Marketing for All. The conference brings know-how and fresh perspectives not only in the design field, but also in other sectors. Through lectures, panel discussions, and workshops, it will open up the topic of products, services, space, and marketing, and this year's speakers include Nima Shahinian, Norway's only astronaut who is also a product designer working on universal design within space stations. On Saturday, 6 May, the ZDW Ceremony will take place, where the winners of the 14th annual international Best in Design competition will be announced. You can also look forward to the Fashion show, which will take place at the Tomáš Baťa Memorial on 10 May with a comprehensive programme dedicated to fashion in connection with the universal design theme. The programme will include discussion, workshop, and a fashion show, where previous finalists and winners of the Fashion Design category across the past editions of the Best in Design competition will present their work. There are also two exhibitions, a design shop, and workshops for designers, high schools, and the general public, combining a programme that educates, broadens horizons, and develops one's own creativity. This year's main workshops are again dedicated to the festival's theme, i.e., universal/inclusive design. A new feature is the open creative workshops available to all festival visitors.
