The sixth year of the Musica Orbis concert series will opened at the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum by concert of the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra. The prestigious youth orchestra with a tradition since 1958 will present an inviting programme full of well-known pieces.

The Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra, now in its 59th season, is one of the most prestigious youth orchestras in the United States. The orchestra is made up of 80 middle school and high school students drawn from a four-county area of Western New York. Orchestra members are accepted on the basis of talent only. Alumni of GBYO have attended the most prestigious music conservatories and universities in the United States.

Musica Orbis
Musica Orbis is an annual concert series that presents Czech audiences with talented musicians from various countries of the world. Music Orbis concerts take place in eminent Prague concert halls, and they are characterised by fresh energy, joy of music, charismatic conductors, and superb soloists. In 2018 Musica Orbis will enter its sixth year.
