Kapela The Kingsize Boogiemen vznikla někdy kolem roku 2000 původně jako akustické duo. Zakládajícími členy byli Míra Štefan a Standa Beran.
Po několikerých personálních obměnách se složení kapely ustálilo takto: Standa Beran – zpěv, foukací harmonika; Míra Štefan – baskytara; Martin Petrásek – bicí; František Javůrek – kytara, rezofonická kytara, zpěv.
