Joint concert of Symphony Orchestra of GMHS Prague and Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra as part of the Musica Orbis concert series.

Now celebrating its 70th anniversary, Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras has provided music education through orchestral programs and performance opportunities of the highest caliber since 1946. Internationally recognized as one of the foremost youth orchestras, CYSO’s Symphony Orchestra is comprised of the most talented and dedicated student musicians. Under the direction of Music Director Allen Tinkham, Symphony Orchestra students have the opportunity to hone their skills while performing the most advanced orchestral repertoire alongside exciting new works by contemporary composers.

The Symphony Orchestra of GMHS is formed of the most talented young musicians from Prague. The orchestra rehearses and performs regularly under the direction of conductor Ladislav Cigler. The students had the opportunity to perform at the international EUROCHESTRIES Festival in France and also regularly represented the Czech Republic in many cities of the United Arab Emirates.
