SONGS FOR SWINGIN´ LOVERS

The concert is dedicated to the most popular swing songs from the last century and follows the history of jazz programs for the Czech audience of the 60´s, which started a successful history of jazz club Reduta.

You can look forward to the contrast of Czech and American jazz creation (composition), because you will hear popular jazz songs from the American swing jazz mainstream in the original language, which celebrated a great success at home, mainly due to the combination of famous soloists.

Traditional evenings in Prague´s Reduta, which started in 1958, allways represented the meetings of the elite, mainly top singers, actors of the time and lovers of jazz who came to the Prague´s Reduta to enjoy it´s atmosphere.

In the American originals will sound immortal (legendary) tunes of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Fred Astaire, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole and others. Familiar songs like My Way, I've Got You Under My Skin, Stardust, The nearness Of You, Honeysuckle Rose, A Foggy Day, Dindi, Quando Quando, Night and Day and more.

You will hear the swing songs of great Czech musicians Karel Hála, Eva Olmerová, Eva Pilarová, Milan Chladil, Waldemar Matuška and the others. So You can enjoy the songs such as "Černá kára", "Mistr Vítr", "Ach ta láska nebeská", "Tak abyste to věděla", "Jsem dívka v rytmu zrozená", "Říkej mi to prosím potichoučku", "Je nebezpečné dotýkat se hvězd" and more.
