Czech-Austrian jazz band The KUH Trio consists of double bassist Franišek Uhlíř, drummer Jaromír Helešic and leader Austrian guitarist Edi Kohldorfer. The trio was formed in 2018 and immediately in 2019 the trio embarked on a tour of Germany and Austria. In the following year 2020 the CD Old Souls was released on the Austrian label ATS Records. The album received numerous positive reviews and features both jazz ballads and more instrumentally demanding compositions. Of the ten tracks, six were composed by Uhlíř and four by Kohldorfer. The latter uses both electric and acoustic guitar to expand the tonal spectrum of sound of the group. Köhldorfer studied classical guitar at the University of Graz and jazz guitar at the Vienna Conservatory. He has worked with such jazz jazz greats such as Biréli Lagréne, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Barbara Dennerlein. He is also active in the field of classical music and pop music. He has recorded under many albums under his own name and has performed on every continent except Australia. Repertoire of the new trio's repertoire features jazz standards in original arrangements.
