Spiritual and social transformation – a first step on the path towards ever advancing civilization.
The basic paradigms of modern history include the cyclical repetition of global crises and conflicts, followed by (mostly unsuccessful) efforts to adopt certain patterns of behaviour that would prevent such a recurrence. Baha'i teachings bring the idea of understanding common spiritual roots as a fundamental prerequisite for the further development of world civilization. In realizing this vision, it is necessary to start from each individual, and from the transformation of the immediate environment in which we live. But will mankind as a whole be able to learn to take responsibility for its future destiny?
