The East Doc Platform is the largest co-production, funding and distribution platform tailor-made for Central and Eastern European documentaries. The programme for public offers masterclasses, lectures and presentations by renowned film directors, producers, editors and other film professionals. The programme of the 9th edition includes masterclass by Fredrik Gertten (PUSH), panel discussion Filmmaking Against Dictatorships and presentations of upcoming documentaries and case study The Art of Producing Documentaries on Art. The alternative distribution company KineDok will open its new season by the screening of Greta Stocklassa's Kiruna - A Brand New World, followed by Q&A, at one of the coolest places in Prague, Screenshot. Five most anticipated upcoming documentaries will be presented at Czech Docs... Coming Soon. Documentary projects from Eastern and Central Europe will be pitched at East Doc Forum at Image Theater. The whole programme is in English, free of charge. The event is organized by the Institute of Documentary Film in association with One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival.
