The legendary American guitarist John Scofield does not need to be presented in the Czech Republic. He is considered to be one of the pillars of world jazz, a successor of Miles Davis's legacy and a great electric guitar innovator, both in the world and in our country. He has released countless albums, played thousands of concerts, many of which have already been in the Czech Republic and expanded his musical horizons from original fusion, through postmodern jazz, to neofunk and acid jazz with a great deal of electronics. But his great love is also blues, R&B and music from New Orleans, and about ten years ago he started working with the famous blues pianist and singer Jon Cleary. In New Orleans, they recorded the Piety Street album together and toured the world as part of a tour with this project. Roughly two years ago, they performed occasionally at Soulive Club in Brooklyn, and even without the rhythm section, they worked so well that they decided to continue the duo only.
