The Greatest Show – live in concert will feature famous songs from the popular movie “The Greatest Showman”, performed by some of the best artists on the Czech musical scene. This theatrical concert celebrates the life and achievements of one of the most successful marketers, entertainers and showmen, P. T. Barnum. The creative producer and director, Peter Zuska has obtained permission to use original songs directly from their Oscar-winning authors, Benj Pasek & Justin Paul. Their music and lyrics are a celebration of humanity, and The Greatest Show aims for the same. The goal is to bring the audience into the amazing world of the founder of the circus, Phineas Barnum, and give them the strong message of the songs such as „A Million Dreams“ and „This Is Me“. The opening hit „The Greatest Show“ in contrast will surely make the audience dance in their chairs. The concert uses a number of new features, which have not been seen in a Czech production before. The songs are in the original English. The voice of the Barnum character leads the audience through the concert as a narrator and explains the powerful meaning behind all the songs. The whole cast features more than 40 performers on stage. Co-producer of The Greatest Show is Marek Jakeš, the script was written by Zuska together with Hanka Hošková, the choreography was prepared by Ivana Hannichová. Phineas Barnum's most famous quote reads: „The noblest art is that of making others happy.“ And that is the emotion which The Greatest Show wants to bring to the audience.
