Tom Smith is a London-based saxophonist, flautist, clarinetist, pianist and composer. Twice finalist of the BBC Young Jazz Musician, he studied at the Royal Academy of Music and graduated in 2018 receiving the Craig Ball prize and a Wolfson Fund award. He has performed with musicians such as Ian Shaw, Julian Siegel, Gareth Lockrane and Ian Thomas, and he has played at such venues as the Royal Albert Hall (Proms), Ronnie Scott’s, Barbican, Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Sage Gateshead. On his Czech tour he joined forces with the most promising players of the young jazz generation: Daniel Bulatkin – p; Max Makagonov – b and Petr Nohavica – dr.
