Suite for JT was originally commissioned by the Manchester Jazz Festival in 2005, and was written by Andy Schofield specially for renowned British jazz pianist John Taylor. The music features individual soloists from the nine-piece line-up (4 reeds, 2 brass and rhythm section), as well as collective improvisation and ensemble playing. The Suitewill be released for the first time on CD, by Animal Records, at this concert. It features some of the most outstanding players on the Prague jazz scene, and is dedicated to the memory of John Taylor, who died in 2015.
