Petr Brožka, Kateřina Burgertová, Eliška Fialová: Just a way of not telling what I really want to // The White Room 19.6.-17.8. The project represents works that connect the associative method and the opening of psychic layers in the process of creating an artwork. However there is no psychoanalytic or therapeutical activity, the principle of seepage of subliminal intrusive motifs into the structure of characters (verbal or visual) enables artists to look at "inner images" and "share" them with the world. Three authors, although applying the same starting point, produce formally and canonically different art works. Kateřina Burgertová complements the dream reality by the image with the place of accumulated symbolic messages. Intense work with details creates a stifling atmosphere. On the other hand, Eliška Fialová encodes the introspection into decorative games that can not be semantically cracked, but they can be empathized. Petr Brožek presents automatic ink painting and part of a series of works examining the principles of symmetry. Rasmus Søndergaard Johannsen: Lineated Luminary / Curator: Lucie Nováčková // Pragovka Gallery Entry 19.6. - 20.7. Lineated Luminary is a series of wall tapestries woven from hand-picked and processed nettle fibers. The tapestry is coated by Rasmus with a photosensitive emulsion, which then responds to full moon UV light. An important place for the whole project is the Humboldthain city park in Berlin, where Rasmus collects nettles and where the lighting process carries out. Although Rasmus's project may seem romantic, Rasmus is consciously working with clear technological conditions and limitations as the cornerstones of the project, creating a distinctive art work, which in no case deserves the epithet "soft art", that often refers to textile artwork.
