Concert of Film Music - Titanic / Avatar / Jurrasic Park and more

Prague Film Orchestra conducted by George Korynta presents next live performance dedicated to epic film music.

Concert on 21st of May at 19.00 in Ballroom of Congress Centre Prague will present soundtrack highlights from Jurassic Park with unmistakeable feeling of John Williams. Emotional but still powerful. It describes the music theme of first visit of prehistoric park.

On the other hand, the orchestra will present several pieces of James Horner, who unfortunatelly died in June last year.

Without any doubts James Horner was one of the most hard-working film music composer if you note the number of movies enhanced by his music. So we decided to dedicate part of our performance to him. The most famous titles written by him chosen for this performance are music suites from Titanic, Avatar, Braveheart and Apollo 13.

To complete such interesting concert programme we chose 2 famous compositions - first one are End Titles from Independence Day by David Arnold with regard to premiere of sequel in June.
The second one is score Duel of the Fates from Star Wars: Episode I - Phantom Menace also written by sir John Williams. We performed this piece in March on Star Wars & Hans Zimmer Concert, but this time we bring back choirs of Prague Singers and Children Choir Paleček with choirmaster Stanislav Mistr and Šárka Mistrová. These choirs will present in several scores and suites.
