Reduta Jazz Club Praha in cooperation with EUROCONCERT Agency and with the support of Music City,
Visegrad Fund and the District of Prague 1 shows the next year of competition for young jazz bands and soloists CZECH JAZZ CONTEST 2015 which starts on Tuesday, February 24th with 1st semi-final round and the first competition through other semi-final rounds will culminate in March with final evening and the declaration of the best! Each round of the competition will present four bands in two evenings and the jury choose the winner, who then proceed to the final evening. There, in a unique battle of selected bands, will be declared the winner and also holders of other awards!

CZECH JAZZ CONTEST 2015 is a unique battle of personalities from not only young Czech jazz scene, primarily designed for aspiring musicians and students, but its nature and accompanying events is also appealing to the general public. One of the aims of this project is making visibile young Czech and foreign bands forming at conservatories and art schools, as well as zooming good jazz music to their peers .

In the project of competition CZECH JAZZ CONTEST 2015 we expect the realization of four semi-final rounds, from which proceed four bands added by one another as “Wild card” into the final evening during which the winner will be announced. In total competition lasts five weeks, each week two semi-final evenings, culminating by the fifth week with final evening.  The whole competition is completed by workshops and accompanying concerts of members of a jury. Participants compete for prices, which is determined by a professional jury and also for the audience award, which is decided by audience. Competition builds on interactive concept that draws the audience into the action on stage.

To of this year´s semi-finals of CZECH JAZZ CONTEST 2015 were qualified projects from nine countries (Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Russia and USA). The best young musicians again get their chance to perform in legendary jazz club in front of a professional jury and to rank among the previous years' finalists and winners, who today can boast success on the international music scene.
