Michael Romancov: Belarus at a Crossroads
Media literacy cycle
With the collapse of the USSR, several conflicts emerged on its former territory, which were expected to gradually find a political solution. However, this did not happen in any case, and the unresolved conflicts, known as "frozen", even began to "melt" and turn into "hot" conflicts. None of them concerned Belarus. However, twenty-six years of Alexander Lukashenko's reign were not primarily marked by socio-economic stability, but rather by growing social frustration.
Lectured by PhDr. Michael Romancov, Ph.D., who works at the Institute of Political Science Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, and at the Metropolitan University of Prague. He focuses on political geography, geopolitics and Russia.
