Nowruz is celebrated by more than 300 million people worldwide in various countries such as: Iran, Afghanistan, Albania, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and others. Ten years ago, due to its significant contribution to cultural diversity and friendship between nations, Nowruz was recognised by UNESCO and listed as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This year Nowruz festival in Prague is enriched with a number of seminars that are open to the public free of charge. 15: 00h. - Tajikistan and Nowruz celebration 16: 00h. - Music and instruments of Iran 17: 00h. - Unknown Iran 18: 00h. - Nowruz and the Turkic peoples 19: 00h. - The culmination of the celebrations will be an evening concert of two internationally renowned Iranian musicians: SHAHAB TOLOUIE with the band, which is known mainly for his distinctive work EthnoFlamenco or Persian-Spanish fusion and playing the three-necked instrument Fusetar. And also, KIOOMARS MUSAYYEBI, a player on the stringed Persian string instrument Santur. It is an old trapezoid instrument from which dulcimer comes.
