The band Duende, which oscillates from latin-american music and flamenco to jazz and pop compositions, is celebrating 10 years of existence this year. Their three studio albums are proof of a wide span of genres and playing styles, and rely on significant personalities from the contemporary music scene.The current album is Garden of Me, which came out on the Warner Music label in 2017. The bandleader and composer is the guitarist Tomislav Zvardoň, who invited for collaboration on Duende the peruvian musicians Carlo Zeggara and Vlado Urlich, which make up a compact whole together with the pianist Marek Novotný, the bass guitarist Jaroslav Janek. The resulting sound is complemented by the unmistakable vocal expression of the singer Veronika Diamantová. Duende appeals to the listener not only with its excellent performance of original songs and playful improvisation, but mainly with its unique sound and diverse repertoire.
