Daniela Baráčková, Tereza Jindrová, Tereza Severová: All right, almost certainly.

The joint project of Daniela Baráčková, Tereza Jindrová and Tereza Severová follows the already realized exhibition "Full room and sixty-two extra kilos" (Karlin Studios, 2016). Besides the common friendship, the authors are connected by the effort of an unconventional way of story-telling, where they freely use elements of film speech, combine them with the visuality of a simple documentary, and completes the whole story with other media than fim or video, using objects or photography. Last but not least, they are also connected by the interest in topics related to women's perception of the world, the interpretation of emotions or vision. The theme of the show "ALL RIGHT, ALMOST CERTAINLY". is the process of finding the entrench in others life.

Contemplation about the possibilities of interpretation is the basic crossroads for every visual artist. It has to be followed with ideas that result in a web-like tangle, characteristic to every particular artist. It is therefore necessary to examine this fundamental building block, which determines the final visual outcome, with extra care. This exhibition project was conceived exactly with that as an objective.

Tomáš Moravec and Tereza Severová are artists who also work in the Department of Visual Culture at the University of Hradec Králové. This exhibition is a response to a project they realized with their students. The aim is to create an environment of a necessary experiment, which could serve as a space for self-reflection for young artists.

During the academic year of 2017/2018 students from studios of Spatial Production, Video or Photography took on a journey asking about vision itself. They observed visions in the context of art. In order to understand the future of their own production, they first had to ask where and how does a vision originate,what shapes it and what influences it on its way to implementation. They followed on from their collective contemplations about how visions originate in the mind of an artist. To understand and describe creative process, the students conducted interviews with selected artists. They approached artists from local art scene who’s work they find stimulating and inspiring. The interviewees were, for example, Ivan Kafka, Matěj Al- Ali, Pavla Sceranková, Veronika Večeřová, Eugenio Percossi, Václav Kopecký, Jiří Černický, Tomáš Hrůza, Kateřina Šedá, and others.

Selected fragments of interviews are part of the exhibition and at the same time served as a significant foundation for research. The students further worked with the collected information, following in loosely outlined, but never realized visions. An installation, created for the opening of the exhibition, will introduce a starting situation – an archive of so far collected works and texts dealing with the topic. During the exhibition, the students will aim to create a heterogeneous shape and make their collective vision materialize. This collective spatial installation will change with time, as the exhibition progresses. The individual phases of this process, spanning from the exhibition opening to the end of the exhibition will be closely documented.

Martin Herold: Six windows

In the SIX WINDOWS project, Martin Herold concentrates on the iconography of the window, including its iconic connotations. The window has been thematized as a multivalent narrative, whose interpretation can range from the description of the original to the meta-interpretation (as the window to the world). For the author, "the effort to create some imaginative space" is absolutely essential. The window is depicted as a frame for things that can be seen, where one can look in both directions - out of but also inside the imaginary interior. The inside and outside polarity are already a well-established conventions of perception that Herold keeps updating in terms of the immediate present time. He collects window themes in his immediate neighbourhood and works with specific, not with second-hand materials (models).
