A friendly meeting with sport 9th September 2018 Do you rather like sport? Or everything that is taking place around it? Or now so much and prefer to look? As a part of another Dolce far niente Pragovka would like to welcome you to a friendly gathering with sport where you will not have to stretch a single muscle. The program of the evening: 18:00 Meet the artist/Eroticon/Daniela Klimešová 19:30 Playfight club 20:00 The summer in Pragovka/ A friendly gathering with sport Another of the Thursdays evening with a global name Dolce far niente in connection with the ongoing exhibition of Jan Matýsek with the name Choreogrfie will take a sporty outlook. The only thematic exception will be a commented exhibition Eroticon with the artist Daniela Klimešová. After that there will follow, as a part of an accompanying program to the exhibition of Jan Matýsek, the already thematically conceived meeting among men only under the heading PLAYFIGHT. During this meeting the participants will be searching for the limits of their power, courage and vulnerability. They will explore how to find a connection with their own power, how to set their own limits, how to nurture energy during fight and much more. By fighting the participants will get an opportunity to get to know themselves and the author as well in a primal situation of fight. It is not only about winning over the opponent but also about the liberty to surrender, allow ourselves to be weaker. The fight takes place in a safe place with support and subsequent discussion about what we experience and about what we value in our partner. The capacity is limited to eight men for this part. The spirito f sport events will continue to prevail at the summer cinema as well, where the topic of all the three movies will be not as much the fight itself, as it is in the exhibition of Jan Matýsek and his accompanying program, but mainly what takes place before the fight and after it. Four short movies by FAMU students will provide different views of the Czech society which is united by one attribute – the soccer ball. We will see a comedy, camera practice, documentary and a drama from the environment of soccer ultras. FAMU summer at Pragovka A friendly gathering with sport/ directed by Adam Koloman Rybanský, 2017 Football tennis or footnet is a typical Czech sport. At almost every village there are annually taking place championships in footnet and sport is not the only reason for it. It is Saturday, beautiful summer weather and one such cup is about to start in a small village. People play footnet, they grill and drink beer. Monday is still far away so nobody has to think about work problems. At least until a gypsy team of Jamaica appears at the cup. The movie will be introduced by its director and he will add a small bonus as well, where you will be able to enjoy in slow motion the esthetics of the manly bodies of Czech men, cold ten grade beer and, of course, the football. The third half/ directed by Jiří Volek The End (festival name) Czechia, 2016, 27 minutes Mára, the caring father of two and a factory worker keeps dreaming of a better life for his family. His efforts are often brought to vain by his brother in law Pája, a hopeless teenager and a member of a local gang of football hooligans. When Mára is asked by his wife to pacify Pája and be a good example for him by a series of events Mára finds himself in the very center of the aggressive fans and is being fascinated not only by them but by Pája´s girlfriend Dana as well. Let’s Take a Train to Ostrava Together Czechia, 2011, 20 min Directed by Jiří Volek The movie captures a Sunday trip of Prague rowdies to the football match with Baník, unthinkable without fights with the police, rum and devoted girl fans.
