A young real estate agent named Hutter who lives in the German city Wisborg is sent to Transylvania to negotiate the purchase of a castle with Count Orlok. He leaves his beloved wife Ellen in the hands of his good friend Harding. After a strange night spent at the Count’s manor, Hutter wakes up with two small wounds on his neck. However, he does not pay much attention to it. The same day, his client Orlok signs a contract for the purchase of the castle. Next day while exploring the manor, Hutter finds Count Orlok in a coffin. Then he looks on helplessly as Orlok fills coffins with victims, and leaves. Hutter knows that Ellen is in danger and he sets out in a race against time and the supernatural being, Orlok.

The musical accompaniment to this screening will be done by The Ensemble Marijan. The Ensemble Marijan is a musical group which specializes in improvised music and multimedia production and is led by Professor Ivo Medek, Ph.D. from the Janacek Academy of Performing Arts.
