Černé divadlo – magický fenomén, který si získal diváky po celém světě. Asi žádný jiný divadelní žánr vytvořený v České republice se netěšil tak široké oblibě mezi lidmi od Evropy přes Jižní Ameriku po dalekou Čínu. Tento světový unikát přitom začal nenápadně v jednom malém divadélku v centru Prahy.

Od té doby nastalo mnoho změn. Technický rozvoj novém miléniu posunul možnosti tvůrců a pozadu nezůstává ani divadlo Reduta, matka všech černodivadelních scén. V létě 2012 přichází s originálním autorským představením.

Multimediální představení kombinující prvky černého divadla, pantomimy, hudby, tance a projekce, nazvané „Magic Trip to Prague“, dává divákovi možnost odevzdat se krásám Prahy v magickém světě černého divadla. Pražské Jezulátko ožívá před očima, aby splnilo nejtajnější přání, řeka Vltava vystupuje z břehů, aby si zatančila, orloj se roztáčí, apoštolové ožívají a Smrtka tančí s astronomickým ciferníkem. Díky kouzlu černého divadla lze zažít i pečené holuby létající přímo do úst.

Představení nestojí jen na principech černého divadla, ale nechává se také inspirovat postupy, s nimiž přišli už tvůrci českého unikátu – Laterny magiky. Tímto uchvacujícím spojením filmového záznamu s živým hercem, prolínajícími se v jeden celek, okouzlili Češi diváky poprvé na výstavě EXPO 1972.

Magie černého divadla spočívá v živé animaci, která obzvláště vyniká v moderní době.

Reduta představením Magic Trip to Prague ukazuje možnosti moderního černého divadla a hrdě se tak hlásí k odkazu průkopníků černého divadla, ovšem jazykem moderním a dobře srozumitelným divákům z celého světa.

Continuing story of black light theatre in Reduta

Black light theatre - a magical phenomenon that has gained viewers all over the world. Perhaps no other genre of theatre created in the Czech Republic have gained such a wide popularity among people from Europe through South America and in a far China. This world rarity began quietly in a small theatre in the center of Prague.

Technological possibilities of the new millennium moved on the author’s potential and Reduta theatre, the mother of all black light scenes, didn´t stay behind. In summer 2012 Reduta comes with the original authorial performance.

A multimedia show combining elements of black theatre, mime theatre, music, dance and projections is called "Magic Trip to Prague". It makes no secret of its focus on foreign viewer, who is searching for the roots of black theater in Prague. It gives him the opportunity to go through more or less known corners of the Czech capital, enchanted by theatrical magic and beauty of Prague, and to surrender to the magic world of black theater. Infant Jesus of Prague comes to life in front of our eyes to fulfill the most secret wishes, Vltava River rises from the shores to dance, the Astronomical Clock spins, the Apostles come alive and Grim Reaper dances with the astronomical dial. Thanks to the magic of black light theatre even “the roasted pigeons flying directly into the mouth” can be experienced.

The show doesn´t stand only on the principles of black theatre, it is inspirated by creators of another Czech rarity - Laterna Magika as well. With this fascinating combination of live footage with living actor blended into one, the Czechs charmed viewers for the first time at EXPO 1972 and they do so till today.

The magic of black theatre is in animation of theatre props by live actors dressed in black velvet suits. The whole scene is then illuminated by ultraviolet light. Silhouettes of masked actors disappear in the "black light" and conversely, the contours of objects are highlighted. You do not see anything else than magically animated objects that create a magical atmosphere on the stage. The magic of live animation excels especially in modern times.

Reduta shows with “Magic Trip to Prague” the possibilities of modern black theatre and proudly avows to the legacy of pathfinders of the black theatre, but with the modern and well understood language for viewers from all around the world.
